Elevated Reservior

The Project

Design, construction, commissioning and testing of one x 4 mega litre elevated reservoir.

Scope:

• Supply, install, test and commission all pipework and fittings
  within the reservoir
• Stress relieving the bottom of the reservoir stem
• Supply, install and commission Flygt mixer
• Supply, install and commission davit arms, monorails and reservoir hoists
• Supply, install and commission an impressed current cathodic protection system
• Surface protection of reservoir to Sydney Water specification PCS 103
• Non-destructive testing of reservoir
•  Hydrostatic testing inclusive of chlorine dosing and disinfection of tanks
• Preparation of operation and maintenance manual
• Project included a dual crane 130T lift where the transition and reservoir section of the tank were installed into final position on the stem. Approaching the build in this way meant a significant reduction of man-hours working at height
• Prefabrication of first stage of transition section and reservoir dry riser was completed at workshop in Condell Park which    enabled a reduced onsite schedule
