Saunders secures $27m contract at Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines, Western Australia

Saunders International Limited (ASX: SND) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a $27 million contract by Primero for the installation of CIL4 tanks at Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM) in Western Australia.

The project involves the construction of eight carbon-in-leach (CIL) tanks, interconnecting launders and seven supporting process tanks that will expand the throughput capacity of Northern Star Resources’ Fimiston Processing Plant.

This is Saunders’ second major award at KCGM. In May 2024, the Group secured a $31.5 million contract directly with Northern Star Resources, which remains underway and is scheduled for completion in mid-2026.

Saunders’ Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Benson, said: “This latest project win further strengthens our footprint in Western Australia and the Resources & Industrials sector. It reinforces our reputation for delivering integrated solutions across our diverse capabilities, underpinned by our proven ability to execute safely and collaboratively in complex mining environments.”

The new contract will commence immediately and is scheduled for completion in November 2025, contributing to Saunders’ revenue and earnings across FY25 and FY26.

This award highlights Saunders’ continued growth in the Resources & Industrials market, leveraging its multidisciplinary expertise in bulk fluid storage, structural, mechanical and piping (SMP), and project delivery in live operational environments.
