Nick Yates

Chairman

Nicholas has over 35 years of experience in engineering  services and construction. He has held several CEO and Board positions in both listed and private companies, including Chief Executive, Infrastructure ANZ at Transfield Services, followed by Chief Executive Officer and now Chair of ASX-listed BSA Limited.

Nicholas was appointed to the Saunders Board in September 2020 and has since served as a Non-Executive Director and a member of the Remuneration Committee and Audit and Risk Committee. He was appointed Chair on 1 July 2023.

Angelo De Angelis

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Angelo was appointed Managing Director and CEO of Saunders in 2025. Having served as Chief Operating Officer from June 2021 to September 2025, Angelo has been a driving force behind Saunders’ success, playing a key role in our evolution into a multidisciplinary engineering, construction and maintenance business.

Angelo has over 30 years of executive, key markets and industry experience within leadership roles across Australia, the Indo-Pacific and North America. Prior to joining Saunders, he held multiple executive roles at Ventia, Broadspectrum and Transfield Services. Additionally, he has held various Board Committee roles focussed on Safety, Environment and Indigenous Advisory, with ASX-listed and not for profit organisations.

Mark Benson

Executive Director

With an executive career spanning over 30 years, Mark is a seasoned leader in the engineering and construction industry. Prior to joining Saunders, Mark served as the General Manager of RCR Energy, a division of ASX-listed RCR Tomlinson.

He also held senior executive positions with RICO, HIS Engineering, VRBT Group and major utility alliances including AGL, Origin and NRG. Mark was appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Saunders Board in 2015

After a decade of leadership, he stepped down from this position in September 2025 and transitioned to the role of Executive Director.

Greg Fletcher

Non-Executive Director

Greg is a company director who retired from the Deloitte partnership in 2009 to pursue board roles.

He currently holds the position of Co-Vice Chairman, Lead Independent Director, Audit and Risk Committee Chair and Remuneration and Nomination Committee Member at Yancoal Australia Limited. Greg is Chair of Audit and Risk Committees at the Western Sydney Local Health District, Bradfield Development Authority and Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility.

Additionally, he is a Member of the NSW Police Force and the NSW Health Infrastructure Audit & Risk Committees. Greg has been a Director on the Saunders Board since July 2015 and is Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and Member of the Remuneration Committee.

Andrew Bellamy

Non-Executive Director

Andrew is an experienced business leader who retired as CEO and Managing Director of Austal Ltd (ASX:ASB) in 2016, after overseeing its growth into a global defence prime contractor and Australia’s largest defence exporter.

He previously held senior leadership roles in the oil and gas industry with Honeywell and ICI across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Andrew has been a Director on the Saunders Board since September 2025. He chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Alex Dunne

Alex Dunne

Chief Financial Officer and Co-Company Secretary

Alex is an experienced finance executive, having served in CFO roles across various commercial environments in the construction, infrastructure and renewables sectors, joining Saunders in 2024 from The Murrina Group and previously the Titan Group of Companies.

He has also worked in accounting and finance focused roles at PwC and Pitcher Partners. Alex is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from UTS. Alex was appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Co-Company Secretary in August 2024.

Trevor Walker

Trevor Walker

Executive General Manager

Trevor brings extensive executive experience across the Energy, Industrials, Defence and Infrastructure sectors, with a strong track record in building capability, delivering innovation and driving growth. Prior to joining Saunders in 2023, he held senior leadership roles at Ventia and ICD Asia Pacific, where he led teams to diversify markets, enhance technical services and deliver outcomes for clients nationwide. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering, an MBA (Executive), is a GAICD and a Chartered Engineer.

Manish Pancholi

Executive Vice President

Manish joined Saunders in 2025 following the acquisition of Aqua Metro, where he was Chief Executive Officer. He brings over 18 years of leadership experience in the Australian infrastructure sector. A qualified civil engineer with a Masters in Structural Engineering and an MBA, Manish has led transport, utility, civil and mining projects, as well as business units with a portfolio exceeding $20 billion. He is recognised for driving transformation, strengthening operational excellence, and his commitment to innovation, safety and building high-performing teams.

From humble beginnings to landmark projects across Australia.

1951

Saunders is founded

Foreman “Bluey” Saunders seizes an opportunity to tender for a project he was working on, marking the beginning of V.G. Saunders. This entrepreneurial spirit lays the foundation for a company that would grow to become an industry leader.

2007

ASX listing

Saunders International Pty Ltd becomes a publicly listed company under the name Saunders International Limited (ASX: SND). This enhanced our capacity to deliver innovation and superior service to our growing client base.

2017

Expanding into Civil and Infrastructure

Saunders acquired Civilbuild, a respected civil and infrastructure firm based in Redhead, NSW. This acquisition broadened Saunders' expertise in delivering complex infrastructure projects, enhancing our integrated service capabilities.

2021

Celebrating 70 Years and advancing in Automation

Marking 70 years of industry excellence, Saunders expanded its footprint in automation through the strategic acquisition of PlantWeave, specialists in industrial process automation, strengthening our footprint in advanced automation solutions.

2023

Strategic Acquisitions Strengthen Capabilities

Saunders further enhanced its service offerings with two key acquisitions:

  • Automation IT - specialists in automation and control systems engineering.
  • Piping Solutions - experts in the fabrication, installation and maintenance of steel pipelines, structures, pressure vessels and refuelling systems.

2025

Saunders Aqua Metro acquisition

The acquisition of Aqua Metro expanded Saunders’ national water infrastructure capability, strengthening partnerships with utilities and enhancing our ability to deliver sustainable, large-scale solutions across Australia.
