Saunders was awarded a $20 million Defence fuel infrastructure subcontract at RAAF Base Learmonth in Western Australia by CPB Contractors.
The project enhances Defence fuel resilience capability in the region and reinforces Saunders’ position as a trusted provider of defence-critical fuel infrastructure and specialist in fuel storage and transfer solutions.
Mobilising in Q2 2026, the project draws on Saunders’ multidisciplinary expertise to deliver complex, high-compliance infrastructure within an operational Defence environment.
The subcontract includes:
- Supply, installation and commissioning of approximately 3.5 km of in-ground aviation fuel hydrant piping
- Associated civil, electrical and control systems to support the hydrant network
- Supply, installation and commissioning of an airfield lighting emergency generator fuel system
- Diesel storage and transfer infrastructure
