The Project
Saunders was engaged as head contractor for the demolition and of a crude oil tank and to replace it with new gasoline tank.

Scope:
- Demolish existing tank, remove from site and dispose of in accordance with environmental protection agency requirements
- Refurbish old foundation and design and install foundation to suit new tank
- Design and construct a 50 metre (diameter) x 14.63 metre (height) internal floating roof in accordance with API-650 standard, 11th edition, addendum 3
- Engage painting subcontractor to coat the tank internally and externally
- Engage non-destructive examination contractor to execute tank testing in accordance with requirements of API-650 standard
- Install foam pipework to supply the tank deluge system
